The top organ of the All Progressives Congress (A.P.C), Oshodi/Isolo II campaign council today inaugurated its arm of Street Campaigners as the countdown to the 2023 elections gets earnestly underway. Held at the Multi-purpose Hall of Isolo Council Secretariat, the inauguration recorded attendance of creme de la creme from the subsisting sister LCDAs.
While addressing the ever-ready party members, Campaign Director General and Executive Chairman, Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Oloyede Bello (OBE) charged them to put in their best in this new assignment as he urged them to justify the party's confidence. He sensitised them on their duties especially as it has to do with documentation and subtle approach of prospective voters. Hon. Oloyede assured that provision will be made for logistics while warning against complacency as due diligence won't be compromised.
Meanwhile, Campaign Council Grand Patron, Chief Henry Oladele Ajomale in his own address expressed joy at the judgment of the Osun State Governorship Election tribunal which upturned the victory of PDP in the state. Chief Ajomale congratulated the women for being found worthy of the task before them. He seized the opportunity to, yet again, drum support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu hinging his choice on proven competence of the man when he served in his cabinet as special adviser and commissioner.
Women Affairs Director, Chief (Mrs.) Modupe Oseghale charged the Street Campaigners to give their all and use the resources at their disposal judiciously. Her views were corroborated by Isolo council boss, Olasoju Adebayo who advised the women to go onto the field and prove their mettle.
Highpoint of the inauguration was the decoration of selected campaigners in customised reflective jackets to the applause of all.
